Online Registration closes Friday March 13th at 2 pm.

3 Person Ski Relay – The first skier must do Classic, and Second and third skiers are freestyle. Each team must have minimum one female skier. Each lap approximately 3 km. Challenge your friends in this fun relay event.

Costume contest – Judged by Hardwood Celebrity judges. Can be individual costumes or a Group costume. Skiers must be able to ski around a 100 m to show off their costume.

Poker Ski – Ski a 5 km course collecting cards on the way (no peaking!). Open your cards and present your hand at the chalet.

There are prizes for each event provided by Salomon

Entry includes Trail ticket, Entry into Relay, Poker Ski, Lunch and draw prizes.

SCHEDULE

Friday March 13 – 2:00 pm Entry Deadline

Saturday March 14

8:30 am – Bib Pick Up opens
10:00 am – Team Relay Ski Fun ski race
10:45 pm – Lunch starts serving
11:30 pm – Costume Contest
11:45 pm – Awards and Draw prizes for Relay
12:00 pm – Poker Ski start (must return to chalet by 1:30 pm)

FLUORO FREE
In accordance with the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and Nordiq Canada (NC) rules, the Hardwood is now a FLUORO FREE.  As such, the usage of fluorinated glide and kick waxes is completely banned.
These new rules are in line with the Hardwood Ski and Bike’s flouro free policy and guidelines regarding the protection of our environment and the health and safety risks associated with the use of fluorinated products.

RACER LIGHT LUNCH
A light lunch of Soup/Chili with bun is included with entry. This will be available from 10:45 am to 12:00 pm.

NOTES:
Hardwood trails are still open to the public. Please be courteous to day skiers. This is a FUN event. No Olympic Medals will be handed out here.
Race bibs and timing chips must be returned at the finish line. There will be Bib collectors assisting with this. There will be a $80 charge for any unreturned bibs or chips.

FACILITIES:
Main Parking is in the upper parking lot. Lower lot parking is reserved for members (enforced on weekends).
The Chalet is open, with Washrooms, Bag storage, Grab and Go Food Service, Retail Store, Rentals, Service and more.
Delicious food and Drinks, including beer and wine, will be available at Trails End Café.
Waxing benches are located in the Swix Waxing Trailer, just adjacent to the Main Chalet.

WEATHER / ACTS OF GOD:
The course is subject to change without notice, due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Changes or cancellation due to weather or Acts of God will be announced as soon as possible. There is no Rain Date. Refunds will be issued, less zone4 fees and a $5 administration fee.
